“Polymarket operates under U.S. regulation, so he may be cautious about discussing a token.”
This market resolves to "Yes" if Polymarket founder and CEO Shayne Coplan explicitly mentions Polymarket's own token during any of his official on-stage appearances (keynote, fireside chat, panel or Q&A) at TOKEN2049 Singapore, held October 7-8, 2026 at Marina Bay Sands, or in a post on X during the conference window from his personal account or from the official Polymarket account. A mention counts if he says or writes "POLY", "$POLY", "the POLY token", "Polymarket token", "our token", or an unambiguous equivalent referring to a Polymarket-native token, whether the statement is a confirmation, denial, tease, or refusal to comment, as long as Coplan himself says it on stage or the wording appears in a post from his account or the official Polymarket account. A question from a moderator or audience member alone does not count; Coplan must say it in his own words on stage, and for X the post itself must contain the reference. Vague hints without referring to a token (for example "big things are coming"), statements made off-stage that are not posts on X such as side events, hallway interviews and podcasts, mentions of other tokens such as USDC or POL/Polygon, posts from other accounts even if they quote or screenshot Coplan or Polymarket, and posts outside the conference time window do not count. If Coplan does not take the stage at TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026 because of cancellation, no-show, or replacement by another speaker, and neither his account nor the official Polymarket account posts a qualifying mention during the window, this market resolves to "No". The time window is October 7, 2026 00:00 to October 8, 2026 23:59 Singapore time (UTC+8), and posts must be timestamped inside this window. The resolution source is the official TOKEN2049 recording of the session (YouTube / token2049.com); if no official recording is available, credible full video from attendees or reporting from major crypto media (The Block, CoinDesk, Unchained, and similar outlets) quoting Coplan directly will be used, and for X posts the public post on x.com from the verified account is the source.
