“This market asks whether the U.S. Senate records a successful legislative cloture vote with fewer than three-fifths Yeas by December 31, 2026 - or whether no such vote occurs by that deadline.”
This market will resolve based on whether the U.S. Senate breaks the legislative filibuster after market launch and on or before December 31, 2026, 11:59 UTC. The market resolves to “Yes” if the Senate records at least one successful cloture vote on any part of the legislative process with Yea votes from fewer than three-fifths of the Senators duly chosen and sworn. The market resolves to “No” if no such vote occurs by the deadline.Nominations, confirmations, and other advice-and-consent business do not count. Existing simple-majority tracks already in force at launch, including reconciliation, do not count.A precedent or rules change lowering the cloture threshold counts only if it is followed by at least one qualifying cloture vote before the deadline. If a potentially qualifying vote is still pending at the deadline, the market stays open until that vote is recorded. The resolution source is official information from the U.S. government.
