This market will resolve based on whether Anthropic announces that it will file for bankruptcy, or has filed for bankruptcy of any variety, at any point after market launch and on or before December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM UTC. The market resolves to “Yes” if Anthropic announces, through an official or verified channel, that it will file for bankruptcy or has filed for bankruptcy of any variety by the deadline. An announcement is sufficient, regardless of whether or when an actual filing occurs. The market resolves to “No” if no such announcement is made by the deadline. A qualifying announcement is a recorded or written statement by Anthropic’s CEO, legal representation, or another individual or team that officially represents Anthropic, published on an official or verified Anthropic channel. Informal comments, rumors, and statements by people who do not officially represent Anthropic do not qualify. Bankruptcy of any variety counts, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and equivalent proceedings. Only the existence of a qualifying announcement by the deadline matters; later withdrawal of a filing or emergence from bankruptcy does not reverse a “Yes” resolution. Primary source: Anthropic’s official or verified channels. If those channels are unavailable, a definitive consensus of credible reporting may be used. If the outcome cannot be reasonably determined, the market will be voided.
